Umgebung

Bend, Oregon is a high desert area with forests, lakes and eleven mountains within a 30-45 min. drive. Great skiing at Mt. Bachelor, hiking, kayaking, boating and fishing, golf, mt. biking on awesome trails, horseback riding, hiking and camping are all available for fun. A cute downtown area with the beautiful Deschutes River running through it. The downtown has lots of great shops and fantastic restaurants. The Old Mill shopping area is a short drive away with a movie theatre and tons of shops and a few galleries as well. First Friday Art Walk is an event each first friday of the month throughout the year where the galleries and some shops stay open late and you can meet and greet the artists.
